What is Mold?

An important thing to understand about mold is that it is a naturally occurring part of nature. It cannot ever be completely removed because it’s simply a part of our environment. It’s present everywhere and can end up inside of your home in a variety of ways. Their spores travel in the air, on clothing, on pets and more. Once mold spores are exposed to moisture, they begin to spread and grow into a bigger problem.

When mold begins growing, you might notice a musty odor or spot darkening in areas exposed to moisture. You need to act immediately to get it taken care of before it’s allowed to spread any further. Prior to mold remediation, the source of the moisture needs to be identified and taken care of in order to prevent the mold from returning.
